Athena's new favorite word is "Birthday Cake" ever since she saw the one we bought for Nana in December. The weird thing is, she doesn't like to eat cake, having inherited Sally's lack of a sweet tooth (Thank God!). Still, she loves looking at birthday cakes and occassionally poking the frosting with her finger. (I'm not even sure she's aware it's food.)
The other weirdness, you really don't realize how many images there are of birthday cakes on TV, advertising, on the street, etc. until you have a two-year-old enthusiastically pointing each one out to you. They're frickin' everywhere!
